Guide to Filing via Bulk Upload
The Bulk Upload feature allows you to create multiple draft transactions at one time by importing a CSV file.
Instructions
Be sure to read through all the steps prior to beginning to have the best result.
⚠️ Restrictions
The logged-in user must be associated with an account for the specific broker.
Documents must still be uploaded manually for each transaction before submission.
1. Create Your CSV File
You can quickly create a template for the CSV file in Excel. Create a new spreadsheet with a column for each of the fields, then select “Save As”, and pick “CSV” as the file type.
Export each transaction you wish to file and add it to the CSV file in the exact order below:

Transaction Type* - New, Renewal, Additional Premium, Return of Premium, Flat Cancel, Audit

The fields marked with * must be populated in order for your upload to be accepted. Other fields may be left empty and updated later.
When all transactions have been added, Save As CSV and note the file name and location.
2. Start a Bulk Upload and Import your File
Choose one of the following options in the Broker Portal:
Option 1: On the Dashboard (Home Page), select Bulk Upload from the Filings panel.
Option 2: On the Manage Filings screen, select Bulk Upload from the page header.
Either drag and drop your saved CSV file into the upload box, OR click Select CSV File to browse and open it from your computer.
Confirm the file name is displayed correctly.
Click Import.
If errors are detected, you must remove the file, fix the issues, and re-import.
Possible Errors:
NPN not found, or logged-in user not associated with that broker.
Missing required fields: Broker NPN, Transaction Type, Policy #, or Insured.
Result:
All uploaded transactions will appear in Draft status on the Manage Filings screen.
Next Steps:
Open and review each draft transaction
Verify all information is correct for that transaction.
If the system was unable to find the Line of Business or Insurer for any of the uploaded transactions, that field will be blank and need to be populated manually.
Upload required documents.
Submit as with any manually entered filing.
