Troubleshooting: Microdeposit Transfers have been Blocked

Troubleshooting: Microdeposit Transfers have been Blocked

Issue: Bank is not accepting Stripe microdeposits used to verify access to your bank account.

Who is this for?

Customers attempting to add a bank account for ACH payments who see verification delays or failures due to blocked or undelivered Stripe microdeposits.

Symptoms you might see

  • Microdeposit verification never arrives in your bank activity.

  • Bank rejects or filters small incoming deposits.

  • Repeated prompts to verify bank account for ACH payments.

Quick resolution options

You have two paths to resolve this quickly. Option A bypasses microdeposits entirely if your bank supports instant authentication; Option B whitelists Stripe so microdeposits succeed.

Option A — Instant bank login (no microdeposits)

  1. On the payment screen, use the search field to find your bank.

  2. If your bank appears, select it. A secure modal will open.

  3. Log in to your bank via the modal to authenticate ownership. Once complete, microdeposit verification is not required.

Option B — Enable microdeposits with your bank and Stripe

If instant login is not available, ensure your bank accepts microdeposits and inform Stripe.

  1. Contact your bank and authorize ACH transactions via Stripe, explaining that microdeposits will be used to authenticate your account. Provide the following Stripe company IDs used for ACH debits and deposits:

    • 1800948598 - Stripe Payments Company

    • 4270465600 - Stripe Payments Company

  2. Notify Stripe that your bank will accept microdeposits: Open the Stripe support portal: Stripe: Help & Support and submit your request.

Important: Save your payment method

After completing Option A or B, on the payment screen check the box to save your payment method. This prevents repeating verification for the same broker account and bank account in future payments.

Why microdeposits get blocked

  • Fraud filters at your bank that flag small deposits.

  • Unrecognized company IDs for ACH activity.

  • Restrictions on newly opened accounts or specific account types (e.g., savings vs. checking).

Verification checklist

  • Confirm you’re using the correct account and routing numbers for ACH (not wire-only details).

  • Ask your bank to allow incoming ACH deposits from the Stripe company IDs listed above.

  • Review recent transactions for two small deposits from Stripe and enter the exact amounts if prompted.
